Hi, I'm Denise

Thank you for visiting my website.
I hope you’ll enjoy it.
I write romance, crime and dystopian climate fiction. My short story “The Last of Rosa” was released in May 2022, so make sure to follow me below for updates and news on what I am currently up to. I’d also love to hear from you. Just drop me a message.

When I don’t write or read you’ll find me with camera in hand or hiking boots on my feet, exploring my current home. I live in New York with my husband and Chinese rescue cat, the not-so-wise Confucius.

The Last of Rosa is set in the near future the world as we know it has turned toxic. Global warming has left the majority of the planet uninhabitable. Skyscraper cities form the last strongholds against the fast-growing deserts that have taken over the globe. The survival of humankind is challenged by diseases, water shortages and food scarcity. In one of the massive battery farms that grow food for the living, Rosa has spent more than a decade in forced labor. Confronted with the reality of her body’s purpose in this manmade pen, she holds on to the only thing that she has left: her hope of being reunited with her family one day.
